About Jess

Jess is a white woman with long wavy brown hair with a blue streak, glasses, and a welcoming smile.

I’m a Strategic Storytelling Consultant who helps mission-driven organizations turn complex ideas into clear, compelling narratives that inspire action.

I bring together a lifetime of storytelling in the arts, a childhood raised in organizing and advocacy, and a creative approach to strong project management to deliver results through a friendly, collaborative process.

I thrive at the intersection of strategy, storytelling, and execution: building communications ecosystems that connect policy to lived experience, align passionate teams around shared values, and move audiences to action.

My work spans the arts, advocacy, labor, policy, electoral and organizing campaigns, multimedia storytelling, and arts leadership. Wherever I apply my skills, I work through a human-centered, values-driven lens.

Offerings

I offer three scopes of service across my key areas of expertise:

Scope 1:

Comprehensive support with a single deliverable, such as a video, an event, or a press push. My most economical offering, and a great way to try out working together.

Project

Scope 2:

Strategy plus execution over a set timeframe. I can run your campaign from strategy through post, working collaboratively with your team or as a one-woman comms shop.

Campaign

Scope 3:

An embedded, ongoing role that includes organizational work, strategic planning, and execution on retainer. I can fill a temporary gap, assess your long-tern needs, or drive a new work stream for your organization.
